2020 Super Bowl & Stupor Bowl Tournaments
Attached are the results of my 2020 APBA Super Bowl & Stupor Bowl Tournaments. The first one is the Super Bowl Tournament. This is a round-robin single-elimination tournament in which all 32 teams are ranked, based on win-loss records and margin of victory, and they are placed in a bracket. Each match-up consists of 100 replays between the two teams, each team playing 50 home games and 50 road games. The winners advance to the next round, and the losers are eliminated. Next to each team is the winning percentage of the match-up, and in parentheses is the average score of the 100 replays. In the Stupor Bowl Tournament, the losers advance, and the winners are eliminated. Next to each team is the losing percentage of the match-up, and in parentheses is the average score of the 100 replays. What these tournaments reveal is the best team in the league, and the worst team in the league based purely on talent. If these teams played to their capabilities, then each team would be the absolute best team and the absolute worst team.
